Celebrating 10 years of creating healthier communities

Since 2015, we're proud to have donated over £10 million to more than 800 organisations helping to create healthier communities.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the organisations we work with making a difference in their local areas, and to the Bupa employees who have given over 20,000 hours of time to support local charities.

Reading for the Planet

Creating healthy habits starts early. Reading for the Planet helps children spark a passion for reading, care about the planet and stay healthy throughout their early years.

National Literacy Trust, Bupa Foundation and Bupa Care Homes launched the programme in 2024, pairing Bupa Care Home residents with local schools for a programme of events.

We're proud to have worked with the National Literacy Trust for more than 5 years.

Creating urban forests for health

The need for urban trees has never been more critical for our health and the health of the planet.

With 80% of the population living in towns or cities, greening the places we live has never been more critical. Since 2023 we've partnered with Trees for Cities help plant urban trees.

In 2024, 3,000 people helped plant over 28,000 trees and saplings in five parks across London. This will bring better tree canopy cover to more than 64,000 people.
